Mega Bash at Roger Dean Stadium – Jupiter
The Mega Bash 2017 at Roger Dean Stadium is a two-day event with fun for the entire family. Enjoy minor league baseball games on both days and a MEGA Kid’s Area. The gates open at 5pm on July 3rd with the Jupiter Hammerheads vs. Lakeland Flying Tigers at 6pm. The gates open at 4:30pm on July 4th with the Palm Beach Cardinals vs. Bradenton Marauders at 6pm. It is officially hurricane season and hurricane preparation is a priority for both homeowners and renters in the state of Florida. Gov. Rick Scott is stressing the importance of getting necessary supplies before a storm is off our coast. This weekend, June 2nd thru June 4th, marks the first ever disaster preparedness sales tax holiday in which certain hurricane supplies will be tax-free. We have outlined a list of items included in the tax holiday to make preparing your home a little easier.

The Jupiter Lighthouse is scheduled to turn on Friday, June 2nd after a month of darkness. The Jupiter Lighthouse & Museum closed during the month of May for scheduled repairs. The Lighthouse, originally completed in 1860, will be reopened for tours on Saturday, June 3rd to share the history and enjoy the amazing views from the gallery deck.
The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum is a non-profit organization operated by the Loxahatchee River Historical Society. Through grants and generous donations, the Lighthouse has received the necessary repairs in excess of $150,000. Special attention was needed for the cast iron roof, guard rail of the gallery deck, and paint repairs.
