Fireworks Displays 4th of July

It’s that time of summer when we start laying out plans for the 4th of July. This year, there have been a few changes to local Independence Day fireworks displays – Harbourside is one venue that will not be participating. So if you are planning on heading out to a pyrotechnic party, here are 3 locations that will be lighting the sky:

Mega Bash at Roger Dean Stadium – Jupiter

Abacoa of Jupiter will celebrate this 4th of July in conjunction with a Jupiter Hammerheads baseball game at Roger Dean Stadium. Abacoa Town Center will have live music and a children’s area complete with bounce houses and inflatable slides. The Jupiter Hammerheads play the Palm Beach Cardinals at 6pm. Tequesta in the Top Safest Florida Cities

The Village of Tequesta ranked #12 in the Top 100 Safest Florida Cities according to a study by Alarm System Reviews. This evaluation focused on communities with 2,500 residents or more taking into account reported violent and property crimes. Taking these factors into consideration, crime rates were compared to other Florida towns.

The Village of Tequesta has remained a popular place to live since its inception in the 1950s. Originally planned around the Tequesta Country Club and incorporated in 1957, the Village of Tequesta is the place 5,844 lucky residents call home. In this quaint coastal town, residents enjoy living along the riverfront, beautiful parks, boating, and fishing.

We have always been fans of the amenities Tequesta has to offer.

Screen Enclosure Trends in Real Estate

We are always willing to share tips and trends with our clients looking to buy and sell local real estate. One question we have been asked lately from our buyers is whether or not the property has a screen-enclosed patio.  Once a standard for a back porch in the 1960s and 1970s, screen enclosures provided a way to allow fresh air and natural ventilation free from outside pests in homes that did not originally have air conditioning. With air conditioning becoming a standard feature in South Florida homes in the late 1970s, many homebuyers started removing these screens to simplify home maintenance. We have seen the trend of screen enclosures circle back around not only for personal taste, but also for health and safety reasons. A recent article in

Love Street Project Jupiter, Florida

Tuesday evening, June 7, 2016 Jupiter Town Council voted in favor of the Love Street project. Construction may be starting soon now that the Jupiter Town Council has voted approving the $30 million addition to Jupiter's waterfront.

The Love Street project has been a controversial topic for Jupiter residents, particularly after the introduction of Harbourside Place. Love Street is located in Inlet Village off of A1A in Jupiter across from the locally famous Guanabanas. The project encompasses 3.8 acres on the Jupiter Inlet with plans to include 50,000 square feet for offices, restaurants, and retail shopping overlooking the Jupiter Lighthouse. Plans also include a boardwalk, two restaurants and a café along the waterfront.

Carmines Gourmet Market

Palm Beach Gardens is a hub of activity in Palm Beach County with an abundance of shopping, dining, and entertainment. One of the things we love most about living in Palm Beach Gardens and the surrounding communities is the fine market selections. One of the most common questions we hear when showing our clients the area is ‘where is the best grocery store?’. If you are looking for fresh, authentic, and often organic fine foods, Palm Beach Gardens is home to Carmine’s Gourmet Market. Nestled by the marina on the corner of PGA Boulevard and Prosperity Farms Road you will find this a wonderland of groceries, fine wines, and prepared foods.

What makes Carmine’s different from other grocery stores? Overall, we are impressed with the consistent quality.

Hurricane Preparations 2016

Today is the official start of the 2016 hurricane season; for those looking to purchase or sell a home during hurricane season, there are a few things you should know. While everyone should strive to take the normal precautions with an emergency kit, evacuation plan, and list of emergency contact numbers, those who are under contract on either side of a real estate transaction should include these steps to ensure the safety of their current or future home.

1. Talk to your Realtor®

The Realtors® on both sides of the transaction are communicating regularly to guide everyone through the purchase and sale process. Both Realtors® should be open about the efforts being taken to protect the home from possible wind damage. Any wind or rain damage that
