All Aboard Florida Rescheduled for April 17th

The All Aboard Florida Public Meeting has been rescheduled for April 17, 2014 beginning at 6p.m. at the Jupiter Community Center, 200 Military Trail behind Jupiter Town Hall. Last month's meeting was canceled due to weather conditions. Scheduled topics include boaters, traffic, safety and property values. Speakers informing the public include Tequesta Mayor Abby Brennan, Jupiter Inlet District Chairman George Gentile and Kim Delaney, Strategic Development Coordinator of Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council.

Local residents have been voicing their concerns regarding AAF's necessity, plans and impact on our area. The Palm Beach Post included an article today from Jupiter resident Doug Garcia:

Tequesta Brings Forward Safety Concerns with All Aboard Florida

All Aboard Florida is becoming a hot topic in the area. The privately funded project plans on introducing a high speed train from Miami to Orlando that will pass through our area 32 times per day. The train's impact has brought many concerns to light including traffic, noise, cost on municipalities and eventually tax payers, property values and most recently safety. The Village of Tequesta released the following on Monday, March 3, 2014:
